Myxoma is a Rare Benign Tumour of the Heart. it usually originates from the Left Atrial septum. as it enlarges in size it interferes with the normal function of the Mitral Valve, obstrcting the Flow of blood into the left Ventricle and giving symptoms of Mitral Stenosis (narrowing). The Tumour can be friable and fragments may Embolize to the Brain and present as a Sroke or Sudden Death.
